Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 89
Mrs. Veronica (nee Melfi) Straniero, 89, a lifelong resident of Newark, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the AristaCare at Whiting, Whiting, NJ. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, November 17 at 9:15 a.m . There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Lucy's Church , Newark at 10:30 a.m.. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery , North Arlington. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 16 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Mrs. Straniero was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident. She was a loving homemaker to her family.
She is survived by her beloved children Patrick Straniero and his wife Lisa and Linda Melfi; her precious granddaughter Leyla Kessler and her husband Ross; and her cherished great-grandchildren Brittany and Michael.
Mrs. Straniero is predeceased by her husband Jerry Straniero.
