Eva Serratelli Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 99
Mrs. Eva (nee Fasolino) Serratelli, 99 of Belleville, formerly of Mendham and the Ironbound section of Newark, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, May 2 at 9:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church , Nutley at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 30 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 1 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Mrs. Serratelli was born in the Ironbound section of Newark and lived in Mendham before moving to Belleville 20 years ago. She was an Inspector for Engelhardt Inudstries, Union for 50 years before retiring.
She is survived by her beloved children Carolyn Distasio and her husband Donald, and Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli (Bishop of Paterson); her loving sisters Rose Cicalese and Catherine Cherry; her cherished grandchildren, Patrick Distasio, Donald Distasio, Jr. and Diane Matai; and her precious great-grandchildren, Arber Matai, Alexander Matai, Breanne Distasio, Joey Distasio and Vincenzo Distasio. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Serratelli is predeceased by her husband Pio D.Serratelli.
In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory to the St. Joseph Fund, Diocese of Paterson, 777 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013, Attention: Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli, would be greatly appreciated.
