Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, 84

Mr. Anthony C. Martorana, 84, of Nutley, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the West Caldwell Care Center, West Caldwell. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, January 3, at 8:15 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Mary's Church , Nutley at 9:30 a.m. with Military Honors. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 2 from 2:00 –8:00 p.m. The cremation will be held privately.

Mr. Martorana was born in Newark and resided in Clifton before moving to Henderson, Nevada in 1999 and returning to Nutley in 2011. He was a New Jersey Transit Bus Driver for thirteen years before his retirement. He previously worked as a Certified Electronic Technician for Western Electric, Kearny for thirty-three years. Mr. Martorana served honorably in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 493, Nutley.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty seven years, Florence (nee Holden) Martorana; his devoted children Maribeth Martorana and Carol Randall and her husband Christopher; and his cherished grandchildren Ethan and Dean. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor, may be made to the V.F.W. Post 493, 271 Washington Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110, Attention: Quartermaster.
