Anthony (Billy Bud) Cifelli, Sr. Beloved Father, Grandfather and Brother, 87
Mr. Anthony (Billy Bud) Cifelli, Sr., 87, of Kenilworth (formerly of the Ironbound section of Newark) passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday October 19, 2013. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Wednesday October 23, at 8:30 A.M. There will be a funeral Mass celebrated at St. Helen's Church, Westfield at 10:30 A.M. The entombment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum Union, N.J. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 22 from 4-8 P.M.
Mr. Cifelli was born in the Ironbound Section of Newark and resided there until moving to Kenilworth 12 years ago. He was a checker for Anheuser-Busch, Newark for 42 years before retiring in 1993. Anthony was lovingly known as "Billy Bud" to all, never saying "no" to anyone needing help or assistance. He also belonged to several civic organizations in the Ironbound Section of Newark.
He is survived by his loving and devoted children Andrea Da Silva and her husband Joseph, Anthony J. Cifelli, Jr. and his wife Roberta, and Michael Cifelli Sr. and his wife Ann; his cherished grandchildren Michael Jr. , Matthew, Anthony, Angela, Joseph, Anthony III, Angelo and Jack; and his dear sister Julia Alterizio.
Mr. Cifelli is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Rose Cifelli (June 21, 2013) and his brother Carmine Cifelli.
