U.S. Army Veteran
Loving Father, Brother, Grandfather and Uncle
Mr. Robert R. Bartell, 75 of Nutley passed away on Saturday November 24 at the Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley 540 Franklin Ave. on Tuesday November 27 at 9:30 A.M. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Mary's Church Nutley at 10:30 A.M. The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield with military honors. Visitation will be on Monday November, 26 from 4-8 P.M.
Mr. Bartell was born in Newark and has resided in Nutley for the past 60 years. He was a driver for U.P.S. in Secaucus for 42 years before retiring 13 years ago Mr. Bartell proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Nutley V.F.W. He also served as a District Leader in Nutley, was past president of the Nutley Italian American Civic Association and was also an usher at St. Mary's Church in Nutley.
Mr. Bartell is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Mary (nee Capalbo) Bartell; his loving children Sandra Bartell, James Bartell and his wife Patty and Robert Bartell. His dear brothers and sisters Alma Pope, Dolores Clarke, Richard Bartell, Barbara Bartell and Donald Bartell; his cherished grandchildren Michael and Faith and also his many loving nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister Gloria Pope and his brothers Hugo, John and Kenneth Bartell.
