Anna Banda
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 92
Mrs. Anna (nee Russo) Banda, 92, of Belleville, formerly of Mt. Olive and the Poconos, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Pine Acres Rehab and Health Care Center, Madison surrounded by her loving family. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Monday, October 1, at 8:15 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church , Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The entombment will be at Hollywood Chapel Mausoleum, Union. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 30 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Banda was born in Newark and resided in Belleville for many years. She was a Candy Packer for Charms, Bloomfield and later was a crossing guard for the Belleville School System before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Belleville Italian American Association and an avid bingo player.
Mrs. Banda is survived by her beloved children Grace Russo and her husband Louis, Robert Banda, Stephen Banda and his wife Karen and Brian Banda and his wife Carol; her loving brother Joseph Russo; her ten cherished grandchildren and nine precious great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Banda is predeceased by her husband Bennie Banda.
