Catherine Sutherly
Catherine Sutherly, age 98, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City, Ohio. She was born on April 21, 1915 in Osborn, Ohio, to the late Angus and May (Mott) Miller. Her husband, Wesley Sutherly, preceded her in death in 1997.
She is survived by four children and their spouses: Richard and Rita Sutherly of Troy, Barbara and Tom Fulton of Troy, John Sutherly of Troy, and William and Carol Sutherly of Troy; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sutherly of Troy; ten grandchildren and their spouses: Jim and Pam Sutherly of Casstown, Ohio, Sam and Laura Sutherly of Troy, Molly and Tavis Shane of Fletcher, Ohio, Dan Sutherly of Troy, Amy and Craig Reiter of Elmore, Ohio, John and Kate Fulton of Auburn, Alabama, Catherine and Brian Bensman of Troy, Ben and Julia Sutherly of Troy, Ohio, David and Linde Sutherly of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Katie Sutherly of Troy; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, James Sutherly; great-granddaughter, Breann Sutherly in 1994; great-grandson, Jacob Bensman in 2001 and son, Robert W. Sutherly on July 8, 2013.
She was a member of Cove Spring Church, Troy. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her life and happiness.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio, with Pastor Evan Garber officiating.
