Valerie Ann (Cain) Noel, 64, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at her home.
Valerie was born May 23, 1950, in Masontown, Pa., a daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Kirchner) Cain. She was a 1968 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, and a 1970 graduate of the Washington School of Nursing. She received her master's degree in nursing from West Virginia University, and was employed as a nurse manager for Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, Valerie is survived by her fiancé, Steven Palmer of Neffs, Ohio; two sons, Brian Noel of Wheeling, and Eric Noel (Heather Morgan) of Wheeling; a sister, Audrey White (Duane) of Uniontown, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Kamryn Noel and Maddison Noel.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. Friends will then be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the John S. Maykuth, Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, October 16, 2014. Interment will follow at Greendale Cemetery in Masontown.
