Betty Lou Hardman Chieffalo, 80, of Benwood, WV, died Tuesday, April 2, 2012 in Wheeling Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 18, 1931 in Walkersville, WV, a daughter of the late Glen and Grace Parker Hardman. She was a former employee of the Everett Moore and Governor Arch Moore Law Firm, G. C. Murphy, Cooks Dept. Store and Dairy Queen, Inc. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; enjoyed playing Bingo and working on her computer, and preparing the Sunday meal for the weekly Chieffalo family get-together. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Forrester and Frances Butterworth; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Chieffalo. Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Anthony "Tony" Chieffalo; three children, Joan (Mike) Hocking of Wheeling, WV; Michael (Pam) Chieffalo of Benwood; Toni Chieffalo of Benwood; two brothers, Jim (Mary Lou) Hardman of Wheeling; Randy (Donna) Hardman of Wheeling; six grandchildren, Michael Hocking, Jennifer Nick, Chad, Adam and Beth Chieffalo and Shannon Ruttencutter; six great-grandchildren. Friends received Thursday, April 5, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, WV, with Rev.
