Frances Goodrich, 91, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012. Born and raised on the peninsula, she was a graduate of Newport News High School, Class of 1940 and was member of Warwick Assembly of God. She was preceeded in death by her parents and six sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, James; two daughters, Sandra Winbourne and Margaret Cummings (David); two grandchildren, Sheri Winbourne and Shannon Dalson (Jason); three great-grandchildren, Justin, Jessica and Donnie Phillips; one great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Pasino and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Warwick Assembly of God with burial to follow in Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens.
