Jay died on August 7, 2005 as the result of a plane crash at the Ft. Collins/Loveland Airport in Ft. Collins, CO.

Jay’s parents, Doug & Heather welcomed Jay into this world on August 7, 1970 in Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada. Jay attended Kindergarten through grade 12 in Eston. He loved music and sang in local festivals and church , and played tenor sax in the marching band and Sr. jazz band. He also played the guitar.
Jay accepted the Lord at an early age and was active in the Full Gospel Youth Group and always looked forward to Moose Lake Bible Camp and boating and water skiing in the summer.

After grade 12, Jay attended Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta and completed the 3-year Broadcast Engineer Program. Upon Convocation, he worked in Toronto, Ontario first with David Maines at Crossroad Christian Communications and later with Bell Express Vu that led to his job with Echo Star in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

From a small boy, Jay loved life and trying new things. There were many things that Jay loved including, being with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed, building nearly everything, fixing vehicles with Jason, remote control planes with Kris, and new inventions with Jory, hunting, archery and offroading in Jory’s jeep, telescope star watching at Fox Park with Marty and Marcy, good food and his mother-in-law Nonie’s pies and cheesecakes, his dogs Banshee, Riley and Kate, motorcycle riding into the snowies with Pete, helping Jeff and Vickie finish their media room, playing computer games with his brother, Brad. But MOST of all, he loved his wife, Annie. The last year of Jay’s life was the happiest and Annie made his life complete.

We’re sure that Jay was excited and looking forward to a great time flying with his father-in-law, Bill on the morning of his 35th birthday. Only God knows why He allowed Jay’s life to be so short.

Jay is survived by his wife Annie of Cheyenne, parents Doug and Heather Schneider of Canada; brother Brad and wife Karen and their daughter Kasen Michelle of Dallas; parents-in-law Bill and Nonie Sheel of Greeley, sisters-in-law Cassie and Stacy, and Stacy and Jeremy Maddera’s children Ryan and Max, grandparents Jake and Betty Reese and Lavoy Sheel and great-grandmother Justine Cozad, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay was preceded by his niece Halle Jamison Schneider, grandparents Helen & Fred Schneider of Eston, Sask.; and Hank & Verna Brockman of Emma Lake and Saskatoon. Jay will be missed by so many in so many ways but we will hold him in our hearts forever. We Love You Jay!

Memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 2307 17th Avenue, Greeley and 2 p.m. Friday, August 19th at Eston Full Gospel Church in Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada with interment to follow at the Eston Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Young Life in care of Allnutt, 702 13th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
