Memorial service for Joyce Marell Hall, 87, of Canton, formerly of Edgewood, is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.
She passed away Sunday morning, November 15, 2015, at Canton Oaks Nursing Home in Canton.
Joyce was born December 24, 1927, in Ranger, Arkansas, the daughter of John Lawson Staten and Willie L. East Staten. She was raised in Arkansas. On April 9, 1949, Joyce married Carl Johnson Hall in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She enjoyed sewing, camping, dancing, reading, cooking and listening to country and gospel music. Joyce lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Canton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Johnson Hall; son, John Delbert Hall; two brothers, Joe Staten and James Staten and two sisters, Bessie Mae Staten and Marie Bush. Joyce is survived by three sons, Clyde Dean Hall, of Edgewood, Carl Gene Hall & wife, Sonia, of Edgewood and Claude Neal Hall, of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter, Joyce Riley, of Edgewood; three sisters, Betty Harmon, of New Boston, Janie Robinson, of Denton and Faye Torbet, of Edgewood; eleven grandchildren, Jodi, John, Jennifer, Adam, Travis, Casey, Jessica, Neal, Julia, Nelson and Katiana and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
