Funeral services for Roy Leon Cook, 64, of Duncanville, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Michael Walker officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away Sunday afternoon, November 3, 2013, in Duncanville.

Roy was born October 22, 1949, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Joe Cook and Ruby F. Robertson Cook. He was raised in Dallas and graduated from Sunset High School in 1968. He later attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Roy was formerly employed as a driver for O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Duncanville. He was married for twenty-two years to Patty Nichols. Roy lived in Dallas prior to moving to Duncanville sixteen years ago. He enjoyed singing and going fishing. Roy was a member of a singing group, Lights for Christ, in Duncanville.

Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Floyd West, Gene West and Jack Cook and three sisters, Faye Roach, Juanita Langley and Nell Slocum.

Roy is survived by his wife, Patty Cook, of Duncanville; three sons, Craig Cook, of Dallas, Joshua Sanchez, of Duncanville and George Nichols, of Duncanville; three daughters, Michelle Cook, of Florida, Melissa Johnson & husband, Jesse, of Conroe and Milena Nichols, of Duncanville; six brothers, Haskell Cook & wife, Grace, of Eustace, Joe Cook, of Dallas, Wayne Cook & wife, Linda, of Haslett, Bill Cook & friend, Cozette, of Gun Barrel City, Gerald Cook & wife, Gerry, of Gun Barrel City and Roger Cook, of Oklahoma City, OK; brother-in-law, Virgil Roach, of Alba; three sisters, Lois Baggett & husband, Bill, of Arlington, Vee Jay Cook & husband, Pablo Xiques, of Grand Prairie and Sara Nichols, of San Angelo; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy West, of Alba and Maggie West, of Dallas; four grandchildren, Stephanie Foster, Cody Foster, Jesse Johnson, Jr. and Gabriella Marie Newton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00.
