Funeral service for Guy Richard Herrin, 56, of Wills Point is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Don Myers officiating.
He passed away Monday night, September 23, 2013, in Wills Point.
Guy was born August 15, 1957, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Richard Lewis Herrin and Joan Miller Herrin. He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1976. Guy was self-employed in the construction business and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. On April 21, 1999, Guy was baptized at Turner Baptist Church south of Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, R.E. & Nell Herrin and Harry & Nina Doreon.
Guy is survived by his mother, Joan Herrin, of Wills Point; father, Richard Lewis Herrin & wife, Lou, of Wills Point; daughter, Brittany Herrin, of Aubrey; three brothers, Ken Herrin & wife, Virginia, of Wills Point, Mike Herrin & wife, Pam, of Canton and Jed Herrin & wife, Tammye, of Rockwall; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
Memorials may be made to the Van Zandt County Humane Society.
