Visitation service for Gary Lynn Foster, 70, of Edgewood, is scheduled for 6:00 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.
He passed away Sunday afternoon, September 2, 2012, in Canton.
Gary was born October 17, 1941, in Hermiston, Oregon, the son of Angus Edgar Foster and Johnnie Mae Titus Foster. He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1959. Gary was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On July 12, 1997, he married Patty Schiffner in Edgewood. He had been employed by General Telephone Company in California, Braniff Airlines in Dallas and Florida and GNS Boat Company in Destin, Florida. Gary later was a Park Ranger for the Texas Parks & Wildlife, retiring on November 1, 2006. He enjoyed sailing, painting and carpentry. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his wife, Patty Foster, of Edgewood; two sons, Jason Foster, of South Texas and James Foster, of Tampa Bay, Florida; daughter, Michelle Foster, of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers, Scotty Foster & wife, Karen, of Wills Point, Mike Foster & wife, Robinette, of Wills Point and Steve Foster & wife, Lynn, of Wills Point; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
