Funeral services for Diana King, 50, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point with Rev. Don Myers officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Wednesday morning, August 22, 2012, at her home in Wills Point, surrounded by her family.
Diana was born October 17, 1961, in Johnson AFB, Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of Walter W. Ard and Hideko Ard. She was raised in San Antonio. On August 13, 1983, she married Kirk A. King in San Antonio. Diana later moved to Forney and in 1999, she moved to Wills Point. She was employed by the Middle School in Wills Point as a librarian and also had been employed by USAA Insurance. Diana enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by her father, Walter Ard, father-in-law, John King and her mother-in-law, Margaret Aycock.
Diana is survived by her husband, Kirk King, of Wills Point; two sons, Devin King, of Wills Point and Erik King, of Wills Point; daughter, Erin King, of Wills Point; mother, Hideko Ard, of Austin; step mother-in-law, Joan King, of San Antonio; step father-in-law, James Aycock & wife, Jackie, of Wills Point; brother, Walter Ard, of San Antonio and sister, Marilyn Johnson & husband, Blane, of Austin.
Pallbearers: David Lawson, Tony Cooper, Chuck Jennings, Tom Payne, Jerry Bell and Robert Gern.
Honorary Pallbearers: Brandon Horn, Presley Robertson, Kyle Jennings and Danny Waymire.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
